Where do I place this code snippet? - Just above the close of the body tag </body>.

Will this slow down the performance of my website? - Since the code snippet is placed at the bottom of your HTML code, your website will be loaded first without any delay.

Is the code loaded everytime a page is loaded on my website? - No. The tracking code snippet is only executed when a tracking session is in progress.
